Merry Christmas from The Boynes'

I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas. I can finally share our Christmas card. I didn't want to share it earlier as I was a little late getting them out this year and I wanted to make sure all our friends and family had received theirs in the mail before sharing it on the blog. Didn't want to ruin it for anyone! ;) So here it is ..

Of course I couldn't have a Christmas card without sharing a picture of my little cutie! I left the back fairly plain and simple so I could still write a short handwritten greeting to everyone.

Project Supply List:
Digital Stamps: Merry & Type, Seasonal Sentiments
Papers/Colours: Wild Wasabi, Whisper White, Winter Green DSP

Merry Christmas

Hello All! I am sure everyone is busy preparing for the festivities in the next few days (week), I know I sure am. Today Gabriel and I delivered goodies and Christmas Cards to our neighbours and took coffee and chocolates to the nurses at work (and let them all have a peek at my handsome little man of course) and did our last grocery shop before the holidays.

I also managed to squeeze in sometime to try my hand at making my own homemade laundry detergent both for Gabe's cloth diapers and our regular clothes. I haven't used the cloth diaper detergent yet but I used the other detergent and it seems to work pretty good. Our clothes smelt and looked clean and I am saving a bundle, woo hoo!

Anyways on to more important things...I just wanted to take the time to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you and your family. I hope you spend the holiday season surround by loved ones, your tummies are full, and your heart is bursting. And I hope 2013 is full of blessings.

I will be taking a blogging break (gee I feel like I have been taking a lot of those lately, sorry) until after the New Year to spend some much needed and much deserved time with my family and loved ones. In the New Year I will be back and I hope to post quite frequently. I will offer more tutorials, giveaways, and shares. It's all part of my 2013 business goals, and I hope you will help me get there.

Christmas Coasters

Recently I discovered how easy (and fun) it is to make tile coasters using Stampin' Up!'s beautiful designer series paper! I found a tutorial on one of my fellow demonstrator's blogs. And because they were so easy to make, and Stampin' Up! has so many different and beautiful designer series papers, I whipped up a whole bunch for my Holiday Craft Fairs and Shopping Nights.

These were some of my favourite. I just love this paper and think it is so cute! I made a few batches of these for myself of course (I will share more later). I packaged them up with a bow, and they all have felt feet on the bottom so they won't scratch your table. I sold them for $10 per set (4 coasters in each set) and still have a few left if you are looking for a last minute gift idea for anyone.

Aren't they darling?! I love the little owls!

5 Months Old!

Wow! Time sure flies! my little munchkin is 5 months (okay, 5.5 I'm a little late)! These last 5 months have been such an exhausting a wonderful adventure! I have loved every minute of it. I can't even imagine life without him now, it's hard to remember life before him even!
Gabriel has changed so much in 5 months! It's amazing!

At 5 Months Old Gabriel:
  • has rolled over from tummy to back a handful on times. Then I think he got lazy and has quit. Although mommy and daddy were both home to see it for the first time (yay!) and I got it on video (double yay!) so at least I have proof!
  • has had his first ear infection! Poor guy! After 2 different antibiotics and 1 allergic reaction, it is finally gone!
  • Around 13 lbs 9.5 oz and 26 inches long (this is what he was at his 4 month appointment which was a few weeks late)
  • wearing mostly 3-6 month clothing, still some 0-3 month, just a little guy!
  • Mostly wearing cloth diapers but when we are in disposables we are in size 2
  • Has been sitting up on his own for about 30 seconds - 1 minute without toppling over
  • Starting to warm up to his jumper, he chills in there while I make supper, although he hasn't quite figured out how to jump, he mostly spins haha
  • Has started eating some solids and loves it! He kicks his feet and waves his hands and squeals for more, it's hilarious to watch.
  • Has become increasingly difficult to put to sleep (ever since his ear infection) and he usually ends up in bed with us, and he fights naps to the bitter end. If anyone has any advice, I am all ears
This is his "women stop taking pictures of me" face.

I have so much to look forward to in the coming days, weeks, months, and years. Right now I am so excited for Gabriel's first Christmas. He already loves the lights on the tree and we've been singing Christmas Carols like it's nobody's business! I will be sure to post how it goes :)

I can't wait to share Gabriel's Christmas pictures and the MDS Christmas Cards I made for everyone, but I want to wait until everyone has received their cards in the mail first. No spoilers.

Happy Stamping,
Elizabeth Emma

November 2012 Craft Fairs

November was a busy month for me, craft show wise. I had 3 of them! I don't know if people realize the amount of work and preparation that goes into them. Wow. Exhausting I tell you. Especially with a little one at home. I am not sure if I am going to participate is so many so close together next year, we'll see.

I took a few pictures from my first craft show I attended. Unfortunately I had a bit of a brain fart that day and forgot an entire box of stuff, including all my retired stamps and even my sign. I wasn't very happy, but we went with it.

My handmade cards. I sell them for $3 each or 6 for $15. I lucked out on getting the card stand. My mom owns a floral and gift shop and found it sitting in storage not being used. I think it came with plaques or something on it at one time, but it fits my cards perfectly, bonus!

Table Shot. Usually I have a Stampin' Up! sign on the front and a smaller table in front with retired stamps and products.

Business Corner. Newsletter Sign-up, Current promotions, Current catalogues.

Another table shot. Tic-Tac Holders, Votive Packages, Tea Holders, M&M treats.

My tile coasters and handmade notebooks (large and small)

Thanks for stopping by.
