Another Holy Night

I've said it before, but I love this stamp set! It is so simple yet cute and full of impact! It looks great in a variety of colour combos too. Last time I showed you this stamp set using a chalkboard effect, today I've made a lovely card using different shades of blue.

Ingredients
Stamps: O Holy Night
Ink: Costal Cabana, Island Indigo
Paper: Smokey Slate, Whisper White, Pool Party, Island Indigo, Winter Frost DSP
Accessories: Rhinestones

Isn't is cute?! And that Winter Frost DSP with just a hint of shimmer really adds to it!

Chalkbord Holy Night

Sorry for my hiatus lately, it's been a busy household around here. Between teaching classes (crafting) and taking classes (nursing), working full time (mommy and nurse), trying to keep a clean house and squeeze in some fitness at the same time, life has been a little hectic. But I am back, hopefully you'll be seeing a lot more of me!

Today I have a card to share with you using one of my favourite stamp sets from the holiday catalogue. It's such a simple stamp (actually the set only comes with 2 pieces) but I love it, I find it so pretty and just says everything that Christmas is.

Ingredients
Stamp Sets: O Holy Night
Ink: Whisper White Craft Ink
Paper: Crumb Cake, Basic Black, Season of Style Designer Series Paper Stack
Accessories: Riding Hood Red Seam Binding Ribbon

A super simple card but I absolutely love the chalkboard effect, created with the whisper white craft ink. Stay tuned later this week and I will share a totally different style card using the same stamp set.

Christmas in July

I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend! On Wednesday we had a team meeting at my Upline, Carolyn's, house. It was fantastic as always. We had a shoebox swap and all went home with some really cute cards which I will share with you later this week. And Angie made pie with raspberries from her garden...delicious!

What is a shoebox swap you ask? A shoebox swap is when you design a card and then make up enough "packages" (like I do for card class) for everyone who is attending. You put everything (paper, ink, punches, stamps, embellishments, etc) in a box (doesn't have to be a shoebox, any box will do) and then you swap boxes and the party until you have made one of everyone's cards.

Lots of fun! Anyways here is a look at the card I made for the swap! And **sneak peak alert**. I used some products from the upcoming holiday catalogue! I am in love with the holiday catalogue, so many fun things for Christmas and Thanksgiving and Halloween. It goes live and you will be able to order from it August 1st.

Sorry the quality is not the greatest. It was late and I wanted a photo before I packaged it up. The colours I used were Cherry Cobbler and Old Olive. The stamp and paper and embossing folder are from the new catalogue. I will share details once the catalogue goes live on August 1st.

Merry Christmas from The Boynes'

I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas. I can finally share our Christmas card. I didn't want to share it earlier as I was a little late getting them out this year and I wanted to make sure all our friends and family had received theirs in the mail before sharing it on the blog. Didn't want to ruin it for anyone! ;) So here it is ..

Of course I couldn't have a Christmas card without sharing a picture of my little cutie! I left the back fairly plain and simple so I could still write a short handwritten greeting to everyone.

Project Supply List:
Digital Stamps: Merry & Type, Seasonal Sentiments
Papers/Colours: Wild Wasabi, Whisper White, Winter Green DSP

Sending Christmas Wishes

Believe it or not it is time to start getting ready for Christmas. I know if you think like me it seems like it is far away, but really, it's not! Two months away actually. So i have slowly been trying to get ready, although with a 3.5 month old, it's difficult. I realized the other day I have all these craft fairs coming up and I am not at all prepared. I better get on it. Anyways I will stop mumbling and grumbling about what I have to get done and get on with the card.

This one was designed by my upline, Carolyn. I just love it. Although let's face it, I love anything with a little sparkle.

Stamps: Joyous Celebration
Ink: Real Red, Chocolate Chip, Garden Green
Paper: Whisper White, Real Red
Accessories: Extra Large Oval Punch, Modern Label Punch. Holiday Frame Embossing Folder, Glitter, Rhinestone

Christmas is Coming ...

So the picture quality isn't the greatest (my camera isn't working, this is taken on my cell phone) but isn't this card just to die for?! We made it at a recent meeting I attended with my amazing upline Carolyn Helder. We used a bunch of items from the mini and the best part...check out the next picture ...

...The inside is decorated too? How awesome is that! It is something so simple to do but something I rarely do. It just adds something so nice, and if you're gonna spend so much time on the outside of a card, you might as well make the inside just as pretty.

Christmas is coming, whether you want to think about it or not! If you hven't done so already, make sure you sign up for my "Bags and Tags" Christmas Class at Footlights Dance Studio, space is filling up quickly!

If you have any questions on how this card was made or what products were used, please don't hesitate to leave me a comment or contact me! Any questions regarding upcoming classes or hosting your own workshop are also welcome!

Happy Stamping!
