Birdal Shower Box Card Invite

I had so much fun making this box card. There are a few different tutorials floating around out there. I found mine on Pinterest (just type in box card tutorial), just pick one that you like and go from there. I liked this one because it folds down and fits in Stampin' Up!'s envelopes.

Ingredients
Stamps: Girls' Night Out, Simply Wonderful (sale-a-bration)
Ink: Smokey Slate, Calypso Coral, Coastal Cabana, Memento Ink in Tuxedo
Paper: Coastal Cabana CS, Subles DSP (calypso coral), Whisper White CS, Gold Glimmer Paper
Accessories: Stampin' Up! Score Board, modern label punch, heart framelits (discontinued), dazzling details (on the ring to add some sparkle), 1" circle punch

I tried to take photos from a few different angles so you could really get a feel for it, but it was difficult. It really is much more stunning in person.

Steph's Bridal Shower

My brother in-law is getting married next week and I couldn't be more excited! He has met the most wonderful girl and I feel blessed to call her one of my close friends. It has been so great getting to know her over the past year. She is truly a wonderful match for Kyle, and a great role model for his little girl, I know they will be happy for years to come.

On Sunday we hosted a bridal shower for her at my place. I under estimated how much work goes into getting one of those things ready (especially with two littles running around) but it all came together and I think Steph was happy.

I settled on Calypso Coral, Costal Cabana and Gold for a colour theme. Although, let me tell you that was one of the hardest tasks itself. There are so many great colour combos! Some colours that were a close second were crisp cantaloupe and pistachio pudding. If you don't remember, you can find the blog post with her shower invitations here.

I made the super cute banner using my circle framelits, Big Shot (with magnetic platform) and Baker's Twine. It was super simple and I love the look of it. I only wish I had a little girl so I could hang it in her room. It might end up living in my craft space for now.

For the cups, I used mason jars with Calypso Coral pom-pom trim (which unfortunately is unavailable to order right now) and Coastal Cabana Ribbon (free during sale-a-bration). The straws were from my beloved Target (lets take a minute and shed another tear that it is leaving Canada).

The picks in the cupcakes and other food (please don't judge too harshly, I am a crafter not a baker) were from the stamp set Girls Night Out and I used the scallop circle punch and circle punch to cut them out. With Coastal Cabana and Calypso Coral ink and Card Stock.

The rosettes were made using Heather Summers tutorial that I found on Pinterest. I used Soft Subtles, Maritime and Lullaby Designer Series Paper along with Gold Glimmer Paper, Calypso Coral and Coastal Cabana card stock. The buttons are from the accessory package available for FREE during sale-a-bration.

I also made Steph a super cute card to go along with her gift from us, but I will leave that for tomorrow's Blog post!

If you have any questions about how things were made or what products I used please do not hesitate to ask me, I'd love to share!

Weekly Deals

Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone! I hope you all have time to enjoy a little Irish treat and perhaps a green beer or two! We are busy packing for our trip to the Dominican (we leave Sunday) for my Brother in-law's wedding. While I am so looking forward to it, it's creating a lot of anxiety packing for two adults, and an infant and toddler. However, we will get there eventually!

Here are this week's weekly deals.

On Sunday I had a wedding shower for my soon to be sister in law Steph! It was lots of fun and of course I had fun decorating with the help of Stampin' Up! The fact that all their products coordinate, makes décor so easy!

Come back and visit tomorrow for a full post of the shower, and all the pretty little details.

We have our sale-a-bration card class tomorrow and if you are local I still have a couple spots left, and we would love for you to join us, please contact me if you are interested.

Tuesday Updates and Weekly Deals

  • Check out the new photopolymer stamp set available called Just Kidding.
  • Unfortunately due to quality issues Stampin' Up! Blendabilities will no longer be available. They tried working with the manufacturer to correct this issue but the manufacturer was unable to do so to Stampin' Up!'s standards. The good news is that in the short time that blendabilities were available Stampin' Up! realized how popular the alcohol based bendable markers were and so they will continue working with other manufacturers to try and produce something similar again. But for now they will not able to be ordered anymore.

Check out this week's weekly deals. Baker's Twin for under $3? Scoop that up! And the Wild Flower stamp and matching embossing folder? Do it!

Birthday Emergency Class

We had a great "Birthday Emergency" Class on Sunday! We made the perpetual birthday calendar from the 2015 Occasions Catalogue and three Birthday cards to go along with it, so you're always prepared for this unexpected ones that just seem to pop up!

The Perpetual Calendar kit is awesome! It comes with so many supplies. I made the entire calendar and still had a ton of accessories left over to use on future projects!

Stay tuned later this week and I will share some photos of the birthday cards we made to go along with our calendar! We had so much fun and I highly suggest purchasing a few kits and getting together with your girlfriends for an afternoon of crafting. Unfortunately these kits were so popular Stampin' Up! sold more in the first week the catalogue was live than they expected to sell during the entire time the catalogue was live. While this is great news it means the kits are currently backordered while Stampin' Up! works with suppliers to get some more. But have no fear I will let you know as soon as they are available to order again.

Thanks to one of my customers, Crystal, for her great photogh skills and this beautiful shot of her work in action today!
