Masculine Monday

It's been awhile since I have shared a "Masculine Monday" and while this card is not overly "masculine" it could definitely be given to a man! This is another card we made at our Birthday Emergency Class not too long ago. I am loving this FREE set from sale-a-bration.

Ingredients
Stamps: Big Day (sale-a-bration)

Paper: crumb cake, brumuda bay, whisper white, crushed curry

There is still time to earn this set and other FREE during sale-a-bration, by spending a minimum of $60 (before tax and shipping). Contact me to find more.

Masculine Monday

Happy Monday, Friends! This is one of the cards we made at our most recent "Birthday Emergency Class". I thought it was a pretty good one that could be given to either a guy or a gal, with it's nice bright colours, so it is today's entry for "Masculine Monday".

Stampin' Supplies
Stamps: Pretty Petites *
Ink: Summer Starfruit, Island Indigo, Tangerine Tango
Paper: Crumb Cake, Island Indigo, Tangerine Tango, Summer Starfruit, Whisper White, Sycamore Street DSP*

I love the nice bright colours and I still can't seem to get enough of that beautiful Sycamore Street DSP. There is still some time to get your hands on all these gorgeous sale-a-bration goodies before they're gone. Just place a minimum $60 order between now and March 22nd and start choosing, or better yet...host a workshop!

One Last Valentine Post

Okay, so I know Valentine's Day is over but I have one last card to share with you (well let's be honest, I am sure there will be lots more because I am so in love with the hearts a flutter bundle and More Amore Specialty DSP, but this is it for now)!

Gabriel and I helped my mom yesterday at her flower shop and it went fairly well I must say. No melt downs and he was flirting with all the ladies! Hubby spoiled me and got me a mani/pedi! So excited to use it! I have only ever had one pedicure in my life (I was 8.5 months pregnant and could no longer reach my toes) and I've never had a manicure, so bring it on! I hope your sweetheart got you something special!

This is another masculine card and since Valentine's Day is over for this year, you could even use it for an Anniversary!

Stampin' Supplies
Stamps: Hearts a Flutter, Itty Bitty Banners
Ink: Real Red, Basic Black
Paper: More Amore Specialty DSP, Real Red, Basic Black, Whisper White, Silver Glimmer Paper
Accessories: Hearts a Flutter Framelits, Itty Bitty Banners Framelits, Postage Stamp Punch, Smooch Spritz

I'm a sucker for some sparkle!

Masculine Monday Valentine

Wow! I skipped a few days! Sorry ladies and gents I was busy loving on my little boy! I go back to work in a little over 4 months (insert sobbing meltdown here) and I am trying to get all the cuddles and loving in while I can!

I know it's not Monday, but since I missed blogging on Monday I thought I would share a Masucline card with you today. And keeping true to my past post, it is a Valentine's Card! This is the Valentine I made for my hubby!

Stampin' Supplies
Stamps: Hearts a Flutter, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Ink: Versamark, Cherry Cobbler
Paper: Parker's Patterns DSP, Basic Grey, Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White, Basic Black
Accessories: Chevron Embossing Folder, Black Emossing Powder, Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding Ribbon, Oval Framelits, Itty Bitty Banners Framelits, Essentials Paper Piercing Pack

I love that the black embossing powder gives the card a little something extra (without being too feminine). Thanks for stopping by! I hope you are all ready for the Big Day tomorrow! Lots of Love!

Masculine Monday Week 2

Here we are again. Only the second week of masculine Monday and I am struggling. I was going to make something last night but just wasn't feeling it, so it had to wait until nap time today. I used this week's Mojo Monday Sketch to help me out!

This is what I came up with:

Stampin' Supplies
Stamps: Priority Mail (hostess set)
Ink: Not Quite Navy
Paper: Crumb Cake, Not Quite Navy, Cherry Cobbler, Very Vanilla, First Edition Specialty DSP, Parker's Patterns DSP*
Accessories: Honeycomb Embossing Folder*, Pinwheel Sizzlit*, Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding Ribbon, Small Brad, Curly Label Punch, Itty Bitty Banners Framelits, Adorning Accents Edgelits

*Spring Catalogue

I am still totally in love with these super cute little pinwheels. A very affordable buy out of the new spring catalogue if you own a Big Shot!

I made the banners using the Itty Bitty Banners framelits. Super quick and easy and that way you know they will all be the same size!

Masculine Mondays

If you have been reading my blog for a while now (thank-you thank-you thank-you if you have) you will know that I struggle with masculine cards! There are so many pretty, girly papers, and I really am the girly type (pink and frills and glitter are my weaknesses). Stampin' Up! has tons of masculine products and papers available too, so there is no excuse for not making cards for the men in your life also.

I decided to start a new feature called "Masculine Mondays" to give myself a little push to come up with more masculine projects! My Sister-in-Law's boyfriend has a birthday coming up on Friday so what better way to start!

The new DSP, Parker's Patterns, from the Spring Catalogue screams masculinity to me! So away to work I went!

Stampin' Supplies
Stamps: Itty Bitty Banners
Ink: Midnight Muse
Paper: Midnight Muse, Whisper White, Parker's Patterns DSP*
Accessories: Essentials Paper Piercing Pack, Pinwheel Sizlit, Banners Framelits, Silver Brad, Square Punch

*Spring Catalogue

What did I use the square punch for you ask? Well, here's a little tip to make banners out of your paper that have nice even ends.

Step 1: Take you piece of paper you would like to make into a banner to insert it diagonally into your square punch (I am using the old style here but the new ones works the same way) so it looks like this...
 Step 2: Punch!

And there you have it a nice banner end the looks like this...

Voila! Hope you enjoyed my very first Masculine Monday!

If you have any Masculine Monday project ideas for me, or would like to share your projects with a bit of "masculinity" to them, please do so! I would love to see them!
