Hey There

I don't usually do weekend posts, but I felt like I owed it to you, I have been slacking lately. Hubby is away turkey hunting this morning and Gabe is actually playing quietly (within eye sight...don't worry I learned my lesson when he tried to eat a package of crayons that the Easter Bunny brought him) so I thought it was a good excuse to get down to business!

Good things do come in small sizes. Check out this super cute 3x3 card we made at a recent workshop! It would be the perfect topper to a gift, and with the envelope punch board you could even make it an awesome coordinating envelope!

Ingredients
Stamps: Just Sayin'
Ink: Bermuda Bay
Paper: Basic Black, Whisper White, Summer Starfruit, Melon Mambo, Kaleidoscope DSP
Accessories: Bermuda Bay Ribbon, Word Bubbles Framelits, Arrows Embossing Folder

Sweet Baby Boy

Recently (well maybe not that recently, I am a little behind on my blogging) a co-worker of mine gave birth to a beautiful baby boy, Brody. He is so handsome, and I can hardly believe he is already 2 months old! This, of course, called for a cute card!

I feel like I am in love with just about everything in the Occasion's Catalogue and this set is no exception! Take a look and judge for yourself...

Isn't it just darling?!

Forest Friends and some Big News!

I've been slacking in the blog post section of life lately and I apologize. I do have some good reasons though. Between being a mommy and a wife and working, unfortunately my crafting time (and this blog) has fallen victim to some serious neglect. I've also been busy growing a wee baby Boyne (and that is hard work)!

Yup, you read right. Gabe is going to be a big brother and we couldn't be more excited. Baby Boyne #2, is due to make his or her appearance on or around the 13th of August. I'm feeling better and getting some of my energy back with the approach of the ever so lovely second trimester (always my favourite).

When I saw this stamp set in the new Occasions Catalogue, I knew I had to have it, and quickly ordered it with my demonstrator preorder (just one of the many perks of being a demo). Isn't it just adorable? I made this card for a recent swap with my team, and got some beautiful cards in exchange (I promise to share in another post).

Stamps: Banner Blast (SAB), Forest Friends (Occasions)
Ink: Baked Brown Sugar, Pistachio Pudding, Calypso Coral
Paper: Retro Fresh DSP (Occasions), Whisper White, Pool Party
Accessories: Circle Framelits, Banner Punch (SAB), Blender Pens, Retro Fresh Washi (Occasions), Rhinestones

I am loving everything in the Occasions Catalogue and Sale-a-Bration catalogue this year. There is so much to choose from and so many great designs and colours. If you want to see some more attend a class or host a workshop! You don't be disappointed.

Remember Sale-A-Bration is on now and for every $60 you spend you get to choose from FREE Sale-a-Bration items (and there are some great ones)!!

Cookie Stamps

So on Tuesday Evening I attended a potluck dinner at church, and imagine my surprise when these cute (and delicious) peanut butter cookies were found on the desert table.

My Neighbour Crystal had recently been to one of my Stampin' Up! Open Houses and ordered both sets of cookie stamps to try out with her girls, and the kids she babysits. I have not yet had an opportunity to use them myself, so I was very impressed at how they turned out, and they were sooo good (did I mention that already?)!

If you would like to try out the Stampin' Up! Cookie Stamps for yourself, check out the 2012 Occassions Mini or contact me for more information!

Happy St. Patrick's Day

Tea Time Thank-You

A little while ago a wonderful coworker and good friend of mine made me an awesome scrub top in this cute maternity fabric. And as if that wasn't enough when I was complaining of my sciatic nerve bugging me she made me a rice bag that you heat in the microwave for aches and pains.

And on top of that she wouldn't let me pay her, not even for the fabric. So I made this cute little card and slipped in a gift card to Timmies for this tea lover.

Card Ingredients
Stamps: Tea Shoppe, P.S. I Love You
Ink: Baja Breeze
Paper: Whisper White, Baja Breeze, Twitterpad DSP
Accessories: Twitterpad Buttons, Modern Label Punch, Rhinestones, Baja Breeze Seam Binding Ribbon, Baker's Twine, Safety Pin (not Stampin' Up!), Small Circle Punch

Sweet Shop ..

Here's a sweet and simple card I made recently using the Sweet Shop DSP out of the Occasions Mini. This is another paper I am sad to see go (I say that a lot don't I?). I am always sad when Designer Series Paper retires, it is always so pretty. But again I know the new catalogue will be full of wonderful things.

Stamp Sets: Tea Shoppe (Occasions Mini)
Ink: Pool Party
Paper: Whisper White, Sweet Shop Specialty Designer Series Paper
Accessories:  Pool Party Baker's Twine, Crimper, Jelly Bean Brads

Oh Baby

So I am back after the long Easter weekend. I hope you all had a wonderful Easter weekend and got to spend some time with your family and loved ones. I worked all weekend, but was still able to enjoy myself!

I made (or attempted to make) a few snacks for everyone to enjoy (courtesy of pinterest of course)! And got to visit to some family I hadn't seen in awhile, always nice!

These are some deserts I made to look like birds nest. They were so simple. Just some Chow Mien noodles, covered in chocolate, shaped to look like nests with a few jelly beans or mini eggs placed inside. I was happy with how they turned out and they seemed to go over fairly well.

I actually saw these little guys on the Rachael Ray show, but have come across them on pinterest as well. I also used Rachael Ray's deviled egg recipe which I must say was delicious. I feel like my chicks kind of turned out a little evil looking though. However, they still tasted good which I suppose is the main point.

Now I can't take credit for these but how adorable are they? My cousin Becky-Lou made them! I loved the colours and the polka-dots, they tasted great too!

Now for some more cuteness. This little guy is "Banjo". He is just 8 weeks old and is the newest addition for my cousin Dustin and his girlfriend Kayla. He was so playful and fun, definitely the centre of attention during Easter

Now into the cards. I have to cards to show you today, although relatively similar, they differ in gender. I used a bunch of layering and broke into some designer series paper that I had been hoarding I mean, saving for awhile. I believe this idea originally came from Mary Fish at Stampin' Pretty! A creative genius that woman is!

Stamps: Baby Prints (Occasions Mini)
Ink: Bashful Blue, Marina Mist,
Paper: Pear Pizazz, Marina Mist, Bashful Blue, Whisper White, Nursery Nest DSP
Accessories: Eyelet Border Punch, Retired Ribbon

Stamps: Baby Prints (Occasions Mini)
Ink: Blushing Bride, Basic Gray
Paper: Blushing Bride, Basic Grey, Whisper White, Nursery Nest DSP
Accessories: Eyelet Border Punch, Blushing Bride Pleated Satin Ribbon (Occasions Mini)

And here was my blond moment of the day I thought I would share with you all. I went to all this work making a beautiful card, with tons of layering...only to find out after I had finished, oops, totally opens the wrong way! Ugh! I was mad, call it baby brain perhaps? I don't know what I was thinking!
