Pretty in Pink ...

So my fellow stampers, I am so excited I am some things to share with you and I am pretty excited.

1. I have confirmed plans to participate in not one but two upcoming local Farmer's Markets/Craft Shows!! Yay! I have wanted to this for a long time and I am glad I am finally going to give it a go. The first one is in Palmerston, ON on August 27th, 2011 and the second is in Drayton, ON on September 17th, 2011. Check out my website for more details on these!

2. Not really needing to share this, but I placed a huge Stampin' Up! Demonstrator order today for all sorts of goodies, including a TON of things out of the new Holiday Mini. I cannot wait to share it with all you lovely people, I know it is only a "mini" but I have no doubt in my mind everyone will find something they love!

Anyways enough about me, please enjoy this scrapbook page I have to share with you today:

Isn't she just darling?! This is my niece, Madeline, the picture is older, Madeline is 2 1/2 now, but I just thought it went together so good! Now anyways, back to the actual page...what do you think?

I did this page with a bunch of ladies at a workshop recently, fairly new to stamping, so I didn't want to overwhelm them with too much detail.
This page measures 8x8. To make this page I started with a plain background of Whisper White Cardstock to really get the colours to pop out. Next I used the Flower Garden Embossing Folder on Blushing Bride. The colouful strips on the bottom of the page are Flirtatious Specialty Designer Series Paper in Wisteria Wonder (one of the new In Colours) and Patterns Designer Series Paper in Melon Mambo. The Doily sare from the stamp set Delicate Doilies and were stamped in Pretty in Pink and Wisteria Wonder. The middle doily was stamped using Versamark Ink on a scrap piece of whisper white cardstock. I sprinkled Embossing Powder in Melon Mambo (new in the Summer mini, and *yay* carried over into the new Idea Book and Catalogue) onto it and used the heat gun to emboss it. I then punched it out with the scallop punch and adhered it to the page with a Stampin' Dimensional.

Happy Stamping
xo
