Neutral Baby Scrapbook Front Page

Tonight is the second installment of my baby scrapbook class! The last one went really well and we were able to complete a lot more pages than I thought we would be able to, so that is great! This is the first page in the book. I will share more with you when we are finished the class.

Stampin' Supplies
Stamps: Baby Prints, Hearts a Flutter
Ink: Crumb Cake, Versamark
Paper: Whisper White, Crumb Cake
Accessories: Wild Wasabi Embossing Powder, Hearts a Flutter and Labels Framelits

I found an awesome free font on pinterest (of course, where else do I spend my time) and typed out the birth information (name, weight, length, date, time, place) and printed it onto Whisper White cardstock and cut it out using the label framelit.

This book has been a challenge for me. There are 20 pages all together and all are gender neutral. I've really had to use my brain for this one, but it is good for me and I am always up for a challenge.

9 Months Old!

My little man is 9 months old (well almost 10, but whatever, technicality)! I can't hard believe it! I am now planning and organizing to get ready for work. Gabriel is spending his first few hours at daycare on Wednesday, I'm nervous but totally in love with our sitter, so that eases my anxiety a lot!

A 9 months old Gabriel:
  • is 17 lbs and 27.5 inches long
  • is crawling all over the place and pulling up on everything he can
  • is feeding himself lots of things, puffs and cut up pieces of fruits and veggies, toast, meat, etc. He is much happier feeding himself than being fed and wants nothing to do with purees.
  • has 1 tooth!
  • is saying dada and mama constantly. Babbles lots and loves to blow raspberries
  • loves going for walks. Now that the weather is warming up and getting nicer I hope to be out a lot more!
  • has been caught standing on his own a couple times. It won't surprise me if he is walking by his first birthday!

He turned 9 months old during Easter weekend so of course being "that" mom I had to add the bunny ears. That was short lived and he was not very impressed haha.

Here is my handsome little man on Easter. Overtired and not wanting to share smiles, but he was just too adorable not to share!

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! The weather doesn't look like it's going to be too wonderful, but who knows, maybe they will be wrong! I will be back on Monday with more crafting!

Colour Refresh!!

Stampin' Up! retires colours based on sales history and focus group feedback. They also look at overall colour offering and determine what colours are not working with others. They sent our surveys, looked at trends, and determined what colours are out of date, etc. With the changes, Stampin' Up! found that a few colours fit better in a different collection. They also organized the colours to be more complementary within each collection.

Check out this great video from Stampin' Up! that explains a bit more about the colour refresh:

Sorry for my absence lately, I've been busy being a mommy! And that's an acceptable excuse in my opinion. It seems everyone around me is getting pregnant or having babies lately, and I LOVE it! Gabriel will have lots of playmates in town as he grows up, it's so exciting.

Here is a card I made recently for a friend of mine who had a beautiful baby boy!

Love the way this card turned out! I can't wait to try and make a baby girl one! Speaking of babies, on Monday we are starting our "Baby Scrapbook" Class! I am so looking forward to it! It's full right now, but if you are interested, contact me and I would love to do another one with enough interest!

I will be posting pictures of our progress as the class continues. Now I better get going and finish prepping so everything is ready for you gals on Monday Evening!
