Papaya Collage

So I thought maybe you guys had enough of Betsy's Blossoms for awhile, so I changed gears and thought I would showcase another new stamp set: Papaya Collage. I fell in love with this stamp set when I first saw it in the pre order catalogue, but it's taken me awhile to decide how to use it.

Here is just one example I came up with anyways, I used a bunch of the new in colours (all except Midnight Muse I believe).  I really love how it turned out, if I may say so myself.

I hope you enjoy this set, as much as I do.

Stamp Sets: Papaya Collage, Tea Shoppe
Ink: Primrose Petals, Summer Starfruit, Raspberry Ripple, Soft Suede, Gumball Green
Paper: Very Vanilla, Primrose Petals
Accessories: Linen Thread, Bitty Banners Framelits Die, Basic Pearls

I don't know if you guys have noticed or not, but I am also loving the new Bitty Banners Framelits Dies, they are so adorable!

Happy Stamping,

New Products ...

Hi all! Again it's been a few days, things in my life are starting to get hectic and little baby Boyne isn't even here yet! This weekend I had my first baby shower, my mom and in laws worked really hard and it was beautiful and so much fun (I'll post about it soon). We feel so incredibly blessed with all the wonderful family and friends we have, it's amazing to see how much Baby Boyne is loved and he/she isn't even here yet :)

However on to more relevant things. This past week I actually had some time to sit down and use some of my new supplies I got! Fun times! I got a little carried away with the Betsy's Blossoms set. When I first ordered this set, I wasn't thrilled with it. It definitely wasn't one of my favourites, but now it has really grown on me and I just love it!

Here is one of the cards I made using it, I cased it from Bada Bing Crafting, that girl has some great stuff! I tried to use some new in colours as well as some new supplies.

Stamp Sets: Teeny Tiny Wishes, Betsy's Blossoms (new)
Ink: Pool Party, Summer Starfruit (new), Primrose Petals (new)
Paper: Primrose Petals (new), Whisper White
Accessories: Pool Party Ruffled Ribbon, Bitty Banners Framelits Die (new), Labels Framelits Die, Scoreboard, Basic Pearls

Thanks for Stopping by!

Happy Father's Day using Colour Coach

I have been absent for quite some time! I apologize for that, it's amazing how quickly things can get busy around here! We had a couple weeks of nice weather, so I was outside getting flower beds into shape helping my mom get my flower beds into shape, this big belly kind of holds me back a little bit. We just moved into our house in December, and before that we were only in an apartment, so it's nice to finally have a yard and our own outdoor space, Cody especially loves his "man cave" of a garage.

Anyways, onto the actual stamping here. I really like the Best Dad Ever set and I was so glad to see it continued in the new catalogue. I found the inspiration for this card online but wanted to change up the colours a bit. So I headed over to my "Colour Coach" to pick a nice combo! That thing is so great when you are in a rut and can't figure out which colours to use!

Here is my colour coach all fanned out. It includes every single current Stampin' Up! colour (even the new "in colours". Each card contains the colour name and which family it belongs in (Brights, Subtles, Regals, Neutrals, or In Colours).

On the back of each card are different ways to use the colour:
  • Creative Combination is a balanced combination containing a Power Pair and a third colour.
  • Dynamic Duo is Stampin' Up! colours in monochromatic schemes.
  • Sweet Set is a second combination using selections from the other core colours
  • Getting Started Combination is a second combination using only colours from the Getting Started collection (this is shown only on Getting Started colour cards).
Shelli's favourite colour combinations are marked with a heart (Stampin' Up!'s co-founder and CEO)

On this card I decided to use the "Creative Combination" on the back of Real Red! And without further delay, onto the card!

I really liked the way it turned out. I did a ton of layering on this card. And this DSP I used is actually from a Christmas Set from the 2011-2012 Idea Book & Catalogue. It just shows you how versatile Stampin' Up!'s DSP can be!

Stamp Sets: Best Dad Ever
Ink: Real Red, Crumb Cake, Bashful Blue
Paper: Whisper White, Real Red, Crumb Cake, Bashful Blue, Christmas DSP
Accessories: Fancy Label Punch, Crumb Cake Button, and Colour Coach

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you all have a wonderful day and come by again soon.

It's Here!

It's here! It's here! It's finally here! The new 2012-2013 Stampin' Up! Catalogue has finally arrived! It is chalked full of so many wonderful goodies, it's hard to believe. I thought I had a pretty good collection going but after seeing all the great stamp sets, designer series paper, new "in colours", and accessories, my wish list has grown to be a mile long, but that's okay, it's good to have goals right??

And it gets even better, with these great promotions! Between June 1 and July 31 if you host a minimum $575 workshop, you can earn an extra $60 in hostess dollars. That's on top of the $90 you already receive! For a grand total of $150 in free product, plus one item at 50% off! It's terrific!

Another great promotion here, especially if you have ever considered becoming a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator. During the month of June, when you purchase your $125 starter kit (with over $155 in merchandise for you to choose from and customize) you will receive nearly $60 worth of free product from the "Patio Party Suite" and free shipping!

Don't forget, on June 27th I am hosting my "New Catalogue Open House". We will be making 3 projects, all using new supplies from the catalogue. Check out my events page for more information, we would love for you to join us!

As always, if you want any more information on any of the above promotions, or would like to get your hands on a copy of the new catalogue sooner rather than later, please don't hesitate to contact me!

Cookie Stamps

So on Tuesday Evening I attended a potluck dinner at church, and imagine my surprise when these cute (and delicious) peanut butter cookies were found on the desert table.

My Neighbour Crystal had recently been to one of my Stampin' Up! Open Houses and ordered both sets of cookie stamps to try out with her girls, and the kids she babysits. I have not yet had an opportunity to use them myself, so I was very impressed at how they turned out, and they were sooo good (did I mention that already?)!

If you would like to try out the Stampin' Up! Cookie Stamps for yourself, check out the 2012 Occassions Mini or contact me for more information!

Tea Time Thank-You

A little while ago a wonderful coworker and good friend of mine made me an awesome scrub top in this cute maternity fabric. And as if that wasn't enough when I was complaining of my sciatic nerve bugging me she made me a rice bag that you heat in the microwave for aches and pains.

And on top of that she wouldn't let me pay her, not even for the fabric. So I made this cute little card and slipped in a gift card to Timmies for this tea lover.

Card Ingredients
Stamps: Tea Shoppe, P.S. I Love You
Ink: Baja Breeze
Paper: Whisper White, Baja Breeze, Twitterpad DSP
Accessories: Twitterpad Buttons, Modern Label Punch, Rhinestones, Baja Breeze Seam Binding Ribbon, Baker's Twine, Safety Pin (not Stampin' Up!), Small Circle Punch
