We made this bookmarks recently at my friend, Lisa's workshop. We used the Summer Smooches designer series paper and Summer Smooches fabric designer brads. I just love how bright and cheery they are (not to mention simple to make)!

Thank You

One thing I love about being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator is all the wonderful people I have met through this company! There are some people I call my friends who I wouldn't even know if it weren't for Stampin' Up! I love and appreciate each and every one of my customers.

I always want to make sure they know that I appreciate them, so I always make a small handmade tag to go on every order I receive. It's fun, it lets them know they are appreciated, and it shows them a great way to use their Stampin' Up! products.

These are the ones I made recently, I found the idea on pinterest. I have a serious love affair with pinterest, it's dangerous. If you haven't checked it out yet, you don't know what you are missing!

Another thing I have a love affair with are the 2012-2013 "in colours". I will be so sad when they retire next year! I also really love the Everyday Enchantment designer series paper that was available during sale-a-bration. I know sale-a-bration is over but I just can't help using this paper, the colours compliment each other so nicely and I love the washed out, worn look of some of the pages.

Stamp Sets: None
Ink: None
Paper: Calypso Coral, Lucky Limeade, Pool Party, and Everyday Enchantment DSP (sale-a-bration)
Accessories: Beautiful Wings Embosslit Die, Two Tags Bigz Die, 3/16 corner punch,  basic pearls, lucky limeade and calypso coral 1/8" organdy ribbon (sale-a-bration)

Thanks for stopping by, hope you have a wonderful day :)

So Long, Farewell

It's that time of year, Stampin' Up! has released their list of retiring stamps, and this year, it's a big one! Hundreds of stamps and accessories from the 2011-2012 catalogues are retiring, this is your last chance to get them before they are gone! Many products are only available while supplies last, so be sure to get your orders in early!

When you view the retiring stamps list, you may notice it's longer than in years past. During this transition to the new annual catalogue, there are a higher number of stamps being refreshed and replaced than usual. While many stamps are going away, most are being replaced so that the breadth of our stamp lines is every bit as broad as ever!

The new catalogue will be available June 1st this year, as opposed to July 1st in other Stampin' Up! Years. Please contact me today to reserve your copy.

Have a great day, I'll be back tomorrow with some more projects (provided I don't blow away in the mean time, it is some windy here).

Happy Birthday Oma

So we have a bunch of April Birthday's in my family. We usually celebrate them all on Easter Weekend, because it's usually safe to bet we will all be together. My Oma's Birthday isn't until April 25th but we gave her this card on the weekend anyways.

My Aunt Brigitte gave her a new cake carrier for her Birthday. I am sure it will be put to great use! My Oma who immigrated to Canada from Germany years ago with my Opa makes the best home made cakes. Black Forest, Plum, Almond. You name it. I've never tasted anything like them, and they always accompany her to every family gathering. My mouth is watering now just talking about them!

Anyways before I make you all hungry, I will get on with the card!

Stamps: Elementary Elegance (SAB)
Ink: Basic Grey
Paper: Whisper White, Baja Breeze, Riding Hood Red, Twitterpated DSP, Old Olive
Accessories: Framelits Labels Dies, Designer Frames Embossing Folder, Pearls, Adorning Accents Embossing Folder, Bird Builder Punch, Heart to Heart Punch

We are off to the doctor today to check out baby Boyne! Things are moving along nicely, I can't believe I'm well on my way to 28 weeks! So excited to meet baby, although for today I will settle for hearing that little "Lub Dub" of their heartbeat!

I'll give you all an update on little Baby Boyne shortly!

Becky-Lou's Birthday

Happy 19th Birthday to my beautiful wonderful cousin Becky-Lou! Becky has always been the girly type and I love her for it. She always wears the most beautiful dresses, and I am jealous she can always pull them off! The girl looks like a model.

We celebrated her Birthday (along with mine, another cousin, and my Oma) on Easter weekend. I made her this card, hoping she'd enjoy it, I tried to fit a bunch of "girl" into it, using butterflies, pearls, and of course pink!

Ink: Crumb Cake, Blushing Bride, Chocolate Chip
Paper: Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Blushing Bride, Blushing Bride DSP

Banner Birthday Card

The card I have to share with you today, I got the idea for online (thank-you once again Pinterest). I love using the 2012-2013 "in colours" they just make me so happy! And this time I finally busted into my Sweet Shop DSP and used a little of it too.

Stamps: Happiest Birthday Wishes (hostess), Pretty Postage
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Crumb Cake
Paper: Pool Party, Calypso Coal, Crumb Cake, Sweet Shop DSP
Accessories: Pool Party Baker's Twine, Sweet Shop Brads, Petite Pennants Builder Punch

The Petite Pennants Builder Punch is something I debated getting for awhile, but now that I have it I am so glad I did. At first I didn't think that there was much to do with it, but now I am finding that I am in love with banners, and the punch is actually quite versatile. I highly recommend it, and I would say you will see quite a few of my future projects using it.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you enjoyed today's project.

Oh Baby

So I am back after the long Easter weekend. I hope you all had a wonderful Easter weekend and got to spend some time with your family and loved ones. I worked all weekend, but was still able to enjoy myself!

I made (or attempted to make) a few snacks for everyone to enjoy (courtesy of pinterest of course)! And got to visit to some family I hadn't seen in awhile, always nice!

These are some deserts I made to look like birds nest. They were so simple. Just some Chow Mien noodles, covered in chocolate, shaped to look like nests with a few jelly beans or mini eggs placed inside. I was happy with how they turned out and they seemed to go over fairly well.

I actually saw these little guys on the Rachael Ray show, but have come across them on pinterest as well. I also used Rachael Ray's deviled egg recipe which I must say was delicious. I feel like my chicks kind of turned out a little evil looking though. However, they still tasted good which I suppose is the main point.

Now I can't take credit for these but how adorable are they? My cousin Becky-Lou made them! I loved the colours and the polka-dots, they tasted great too!

Now for some more cuteness. This little guy is "Banjo". He is just 8 weeks old and is the newest addition for my cousin Dustin and his girlfriend Kayla. He was so playful and fun, definitely the centre of attention during Easter

Now into the cards. I have to cards to show you today, although relatively similar, they differ in gender. I used a bunch of layering and broke into some designer series paper that I had been hoarding I mean, saving for awhile. I believe this idea originally came from Mary Fish at Stampin' Pretty! A creative genius that woman is!

Stamps: Baby Prints (Occasions Mini)
Ink: Bashful Blue, Marina Mist,
Paper: Pear Pizazz, Marina Mist, Bashful Blue, Whisper White, Nursery Nest DSP
Accessories: Eyelet Border Punch, Retired Ribbon

Stamps: Baby Prints (Occasions Mini)
Ink: Blushing Bride, Basic Gray
Paper: Blushing Bride, Basic Grey, Whisper White, Nursery Nest DSP
Accessories: Eyelet Border Punch, Blushing Bride Pleated Satin Ribbon (Occasions Mini)

And here was my blond moment of the day I thought I would share with you all. I went to all this work making a beautiful card, with tons of layering...only to find out after I had finished, oops, totally opens the wrong way! Ugh! I was mad, call it baby brain perhaps? I don't know what I was thinking!
